Patient Question

Hello Doctor,

How can I exercise with osteoarthritis, patellar tendonitis in both knees, and fallen arches in both feet?

Answered by Dr. Ahmed Youssef

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.

The aim of exercise for osteoarthritis, patellar tendinitis, and fallen arches in both feet is to keep your joints and muscles moving, enhancing flexibility, and increasing blood supply to facilitate the removal of painful substances produced in the joints and muscles. Simple range-of-motion exercises can help strengthen muscles and ligaments, relieving weight and reducing pressure on the affected joints, tendons, and arches. I am more than happy to discuss it further, using illustrations and photos. Get well soon!

Thanks
