Dr. Galen Pte Ltd performs reasonable verification of healthcare providers' credentials, qualifications, and licensing before onboarding them to the platform, and undertakes periodic reviews to maintain the accuracy of such information.

1. Ownership of the Site

All content, materials, and intellectual property on the Website are owned by or licensed to Dr. Galen Pte Ltd and are protected by applicable laws. Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution is strictly prohibited.

• Natural & Social Disruptions: Acts of God, fire, flood, earthquake, pandemic, epidemic, war, terrorism, civil unrest, strikes, or labor disputes.
• Infrastructure & Technical Failures: Major electrical shortages, widespread internet service provider (ISP) failures, satellite link disruptions, or large-scale telecommunications network outages.
• Cyber & Security Events: Significant cyber-attacks, ransomware incidents, or data breaches that compromise the security of the Platform despite the maintenance of industry-standard safeguards.
• Regulatory & Legal Actions: Sudden changes in healthcare regulations, government mandates, court orders, or changes in law that render the continued provision of certain telehealth services temporarily or permanently impossible.

14. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Dr. Galen, its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any and all third-party claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:

(a) your breach of these Terms;
(b) your violation of any applicable law or regulation; or
(c) any unauthorized access to or use of the Site through your account or credentials.

All prescription medications carry potential risks, including side effects and adverse reactions. By using the Site and related services, you acknowledge these risks. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree that prescribing healthcare professionals shall not be liable for any harm, injury, or adverse outcomes arising from the use or misuse of prescribed medications, except as required under applicable law.

17. Ask a Free Doctor Online; Medical Q&A; Premium Medical Questions

Responses provided through the Site depend on the complexity of the medical query and are inherently general, subject to individual circumstances, and evolving medical knowledge. They should not be considered definitive or a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. You are strongly advised to consult a qualified healthcare provider for your specific condition.

By submitting a question, you agree that both your question and its response may be used by Dr. Galen for educational or informational purposes, without disclosing personally identifiable information. You release Dr. Galen from any liability arising from such use.

Dr. Galen does not guarantee responses to all queries. Incomplete, vague, or repetitive questions may not be answered. Questions submitted on behalf of others must be accurate and complete.

All content remains the intellectual property of Dr. Galen and may not be copied or reproduced without permission.

Certain queries may be designated as "Premium Medical Questions," which are subject to a fixed fee of USD $5 per question for prioritized responses.

All responses, including premium ones, are provided for general informational and second-opinion purposes only and do not replace in-person consultation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dr. Galen disclaims any liability arising from reliance on such responses.

18. Service Charges

Dr. Galen Pte Ltd., through drgalen.org, may charge users service fees in connection with bookings for consultations or appointments. These service charges apply regardless of whether the booked service is ultimately utilized and are non-refundable under all circumstances, as they cover administrative, processing, and payment gateway costs incurred at the time of booking.

Payments are processed through third-party providers, including banks, their subsidiaries, PayPal, Stripe, or other payment service providers. A portion of the service charges may be collected at the time of booking via these payment portals. Dr. Galen does not control such third-party services and is not responsible for their policies or practices.

All applicable service charges are clearly displayed at the time of booking and may be revised from time to time due to changes in operational, financial, or market conditions. Users are advised to review all charges carefully and proceed with bookings only if they agree to the applicable fees.

Consultation or appointment fees (excluding service charges) are fully refundable only in cases where an appointment is cancelled due to the unavailability of the doctor. However, if a user fails to attend a scheduled appointment at the designated time ("no-show"), no refund of any fees or charges will be provided, and the user shall remain fully liable for the amount paid.

19. Use of Publicly Available Information

Dr. Galen Pte Ltd., through drgalen.org, may list healthcare-related entities, including doctors, pharmacies, insurance agents, diagnostic laboratories, and radiology centres, in the interest of public awareness and accessibility. Such information is sourced from publicly available data and, where feasible, verified through reasonable checks.

While due care is taken, Dr. Galen does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of such information, as details may change or may have been inaccurately provided by third parties. Accordingly, Dr. Galen shall not be held liable for any errors or omissions.

Users and listed entities are encouraged to report inaccuracies. Upon notification, reasonable efforts will be made to correct or remove such information promptly.

All published information is believed to be non-confidential and publicly available. If any individual or entity believes that private or incorrect information has been displayed, they may contact [email protected], and appropriate corrective action will be taken.

20. Quality Assurance and Practitioner Oversight

Dr. Galen undertakes reasonable due diligence to verify the credentials, qualifications, and registrations of listed doctors and medical professionals. However, due to periodic renewals, regulatory changes, or cancellations, there may be inadvertent lapses.

Dr. Galen does not guarantee the ongoing validity of such credentials and shall not be liable for any discrepancies. Users are encouraged to report any concerns, and corrective action will be taken where necessary.

21. Prescription Restrictions

Dr. Galen is committed to responsible prescribing practices. Medications, including controlled drugs, pain medications, or potentially addictive substances, will only be prescribed at the sole discretion of the consulting doctor and based on clinical judgment and applicable laws.

Requests for unjustified, excessive, or repeat prescriptions may be refused. In such cases, consultations will still be considered rendered, and no refunds will be provided, as professional fees remain payable. Dr. Galen reserves the right to take appropriate action in cases of suspected misuse or abuse.

22. Substitution of Doctors

If a scheduled doctor becomes unavailable, Dr. Galen may assign an alternative qualified doctor to ensure continuity of care. Such substitutions will be made considering the user's medical needs and, where possible, preferences.

For user convenience, the consultation fee will remain the same as that of the originally booked doctor, regardless of any difference in the substitute doctor's standard fees.

23. Non-Refundable Concierge Fee (USA Doctors)

Appointments booked with U.S.-based doctors under concierge services are strictly non-refundable. This policy is clearly communicated during the booking process, and once confirmed, no refunds will be issued under any circumstances.

24. Time Limit for Document Corrections

Requests for corrections to prescriptions, medical records, or sick notes must be made within 30 minutes of the consultation. Failure to request corrections within this timeframe releases Dr. Galen from responsibility for any errors. No refunds will be provided in such cases.
