Hello Doctor,
For the past three months, I’ve been experiencing numbness on the backside of my right leg, starting from my knee and going all the way up to my thigh and into my right butt cheek. Just yesterday evening, my right foot started swelling on the top, and now it’s red, hot, and still swollen today. My hips are also hurting, and the numbness and tingling in my leg and foot haven’t stopped. I haven’t found any relief. What could be causing this, and what should I do about it?
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.
1. First, I recommend trying a warm steam soak at night. Fill a tub with warm water and add some Epsom salt. Soak both of your legs in the water for about 5 minutes. This can help relieve the pain and discomfort.
2. You can do this procedure nightly for up to a month to see if it provides relief. However, if the symptoms persist or worsen, it would be important to consult a healthcare professional for further evaluation and treatment.
Thanks
