Hello Doctor,
I'm currently following a low-carb, 1600-calorie diet and I’m a 45-year-old male weighing 224 pounds. I’m sticking to the plan, but I’m not seeing any significant weight loss. I also take protein, thermobol, glutamine, and creatine supplements. Could there be a reason why I’m not losing weight as expected? Am I missing something in my approach?
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.
1. Thank you for sharing the details of your diet and supplementation. It’s great that you’re sticking to your plan, but if you're not seeing the expected results, there could be underlying factors affecting your metabolism.
2. I recommend getting some lab tests done, such as TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone) levels, insulin resistance markers, and tests to check for hormonal imbalances. These tests will help us understand if something is interfering with your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) and affecting your weight loss.
3. Once we have those results, we can make any necessary adjustments to your diet or supplements.
Thanks
