Hello Doctor,
I've been experiencing some concerning symptoms lately. Every time I urinate, I feel intense cramps, and a part of my vagina hurts as well. It almost feels like I have to urinate really badly even after finishing. I’m also dealing with severe back pain, especially on the right side, and my lower abdomen hurts in addition to the back pain. Additionally, the area at the end of my vagina near my anus is swollen, and it looks like something is growing there. Lastly, I have a very bad discharge. Could you help me understand what might be going on?
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.
1. Based on your symptoms, it's important to get examined for a possible genital or urinary tract infection, or even a sexually transmitted infection (STI). The swollen lesion near your vaginal area needs to be evaluated to determine if it’s an inflammation or potentially a more serious condition, such as a malignant disease.
2. A thorough diagnosis will be made after conducting blood and urine tests. Specific testing for the suspected STI may also be necessary. Treatment for these conditions is often effective, but it’s also important for your partner to be evaluated as well.
Thanks
