Patient Question

Hello Doctor,

What could be causing my voice loss despite no throat soreness or swallowing issues? With only a slight dry cough, eating remains painless. Any insights?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.

1.Symptoms align with laryngitis, possibly due to a bacterial infection.

2.Laryngitis causes throat inflammation and swollen vocal cords.

3.Remedies include gargling, staying hydrated, consuming soft cool foods, sucking on ice cubes, and resting.

4.Antibiotics may be necessary for infections.

Thanks
