Patient Question

Hello Doctor,

I am an 18-year-old man. I have never exercised in my whole life. It sounds strange, but I just study all day and stay at home. I am also extremely skinny. I am 5'11" and weigh 46kg. My whole body is a mess now. There is frequent pain in my chest nowadays. My spine is absolutely destroyed. There is noise coming from my joints frequently. I want to fix it and start exercising. Please help me.

Thankyou!

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.

Your current condition requires that you control your activities (including selecting exercise) and diet. However, you should begin by choosing the lightest physical activities. To ensure this process is properly supported, it must be assessed directly by a nutrition specialist. In addition to determining suitable physical activities, you will also undergo an assessment and be provided with a tailored eating plan based on your condition and desired goals.

Remember, it's important to listen to your body and not push yourself too hard, especially in the beginning. If you experience any persistent pain or discomfort, stop exercising and consult a healthcare professional. You're taking a positive step towards improving your health, and with dedication and consistency, you can achieve your goals.

Thanks & Regards
