Hello Doctor,
I have a painful swell in my vagina. It is on one side of the labia and feels like it goes deeper into the vagina. I have used hot water compress but it is still there. It’s been there for 3 days. How do I treat this lump in my vagina?
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.
1. I recommend that you consult your OB-GYN for a thorough examination and further evaluation.
2. A lump in the vaginal area could be caused by several conditions, such as an abscess, cyst, or infection, which may require specific treatments.
3. It’s important to have a healthcare professional assess the situation to rule out any serious conditions, such as infections or tumors. Your OB-GYN will perform a physical examination, possibly followed by imaging tests, to determine the exact cause of the lump.
Based on the diagnosis, they will be able to provide the appropriate treatment, whether it’s antibiotics, drainage, or other medical procedures.
Thanks
