Hello Doctor,
I have a bump on the outside of my vagina, close to my inner leg. It feels swollen, and today it started leaking blood. It’s a bit tender to touch. Could this be an infection, or should I be worried about something more serious?
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.
The bump you’re describing could be a ruptured cyst, an infected Bartholin’s cyst, or a possible STI. Since it is swollen and leaking blood, it’s important to get examined by a doctor to determine the exact cause. A proper diagnosis will help guide the right treatment, which may include antibiotics or drainage if necessary. I recommend scheduling a consultation as soon as possible to prevent further complications.
Thanks
