Patient Question

Hello Doctor,

I've been experiencing discomfort in my throat for over a year now, which began after I engaged in oral sex with my ex-girlfriend. I'm curious about what this could indicate and if there are any medications you would recommend for relief.

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.

It sounds like you might be experiencing pharyngitis secondary to reflux disease. Here are some recommendations:

1. Drink plenty of water.

2. Reduce intake of spicy, oily, fried, very hot foods, and tea/coffee.

3. Eat timely and avoid overeating.

4. Have light and early dinners, and avoid snacking.

5. Use Betadine mouth gargles thrice a day for 3 days.

6. Take Tab O2 1-0-1 for 5 days after breakfast and after dinner.

7. Take Tab Vetory SP or Zerodol SP 1-0-1 for 5 days after breakfast and after dinner.

8. Take Tab Levosiz M 0-0-1 for 10 days after dinner.

9. Take Cap Pepcia D 1-0-0 for 10 days before breakfast.

Thanks
