I'm a 21-year-old male and I've had a yellow bump on the back of my throat for over 7 months. What could this be, and what should I do about it?

Diagnosis:

Mucosal hypertrophy of the posterior pharyngeal wall, likely due to pharyngitis.

 

Recommendations:

Hydration: Drink plenty of water.

 

Dietary Changes:

Reduce intake of spicy, oily, fried, and very hot foods.

Avoid tea and coffee.

Avoid cold water and beverages.

Eat timely and avoid overeating.

Have light and early evening dinners, and avoid snacking.

 

Medications:

Betadine mouth gargles thrice a day for 3 days.

Tab Vetory SP or Zerodol SP 1-0-1 for 5 days after breakfast and dinner.

Tab Levosiz M 0-0-1 for 10 days after dinner.

Cap Pepcia D 1-0-0 for 10 days before breakfast.
