Patient Question

Hello Doctor,

I choked on a chip last Tuesday, and since then, it feels like something is stuck in my throat. I went to a walk-in clinic today, and they said it might be acid reflux. However, if I don’t drink for a couple of hours, I get a stinging sensation. They made me gargle lidocaine, but it made my throat feel like it was on fire. They mentioned my throat looks red and suggested gargling as treatment. This morning, I woke up without a voice. I have a follow-up appointment on November 24, but this is really bothering me. What should I do?
