Patient Question

Hello Doctor,

My penis head (glans) under the foreskin is excessively sexually stimulated all the time. It becomes aroused easily, even without any sexual excitement, and it becomes difficult to control the discharge. Although the discharge is in small amounts, it makes me feel drained and less energetic, especially after urinating. Even the slightest urge seems unbearable due to the force with which it comes out. I feel like semen is being lost during urination. My penis is also slightly bent, and I experience itching. Can you help?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.

The symptoms you're experiencing, including excessive stimulation of the glans (head of the penis), frequent urges, and discharge, can be indicative of an underlying medical condition. Possible causes include prostatitis, which involves inflammation of the prostate and can lead to discomfort, painful urination, and penile discharge. Chronic prostatitis may also result in persistent urges and semen leakage during urination or arousal. Another potential cause is urethritis, which is inflammation of the urethra that may occur due to infections, such as sexually transmitted infections (STIs), or irritants, causing discharge, itching, and burning sensations. Balanitis, which involves inflammation of the glans penis, can lead to symptoms such as itching, redness, and discharge, and is often caused by poor hygiene, infections, or irritants. Additionally, semen leakage can occur due to prostate health issues or anatomical problems, and might contribute to feelings of fatigue. A slight bend in the penis, as mentioned, could indicate Peyronie's disease, which sometimes causes discomfort or unusual sensations during sexual arousal.

To address these symptoms, it is essential to consult a healthcare provider for a thorough evaluation and accurate diagnosis. Avoid self-diagnosis, as persistent or unusual symptoms may point to more serious conditions like STIs that require prompt treatment. It's also helpful to monitor any additional symptoms, such as changes in discharge, pain during urination, or ejaculation. Seeking professional advice will ensure that you receive appropriate treatment for any underlying conditions.
