Patient Question

Hello Doctor,

I'm a 40-year-old male experiencing facial muscle twitches for over a month, numbness mainly on the left side of my face, intermittent sharp sensations in my face, neck, and arm, and a sporadic itching-like sensation in my lower back. I've also had mild headaches.

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.

These symptoms could potentially indicate a range of conditions, including stroke or trigeminal neuralgia. To get a precise diagnosis and determine the appropriate course of action, I strongly recommend scheduling an appointment with a neurologist. They will conduct a comprehensive physical examination and may recommend additional tests such as a CT scan or electrophysiology testing to pinpoint the exact cause of your symptoms and provide you with the most suitable treatment plan. Seeking professional medical evaluation is crucial for an accurate diagnosis and timely intervention.

Thanks
