Patient Question

Hello Doctor,

I’ve been feeling like something is off with my head, but I can’t quite figure out what it is. It feels like there’s pressure inside my skull, like something is pushing down or squeezing it. The only time I get even a little relief is when I move around, but it doesn’t last long and the pressure comes right back. On top of that, I keep noticing these strange jerks or twitches in my head. It’s like my head moves involuntarily, but I usually don’t notice it until someone else points it out or I really focus on it. Now that I’m paying attention, it feels like it’s happening constantly. What could be going on?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out Dr. Galen, Please find the below response to your query.

Your symptoms of head pressure and involuntary jerks could be related to several neurological issues, such as muscle tension, nerve irritation, or even movement disorders. It’s important to get a thorough evaluation, including a physical exam and possibly imaging or other tests, to identify the cause. I recommend scheduling a neurologist consultation soon to explore these symptoms further and find the right treatment.

Thanks
