Hello Doctor,
I recently had oral sex with my partner, and now the inside of my top lip is swollen. My mouth was very dry while performing, and I started noticing the swelling a few hours later. There's no pain, but it feels a bit uncomfortable and puffy. Could this be an allergic reaction, irritation, or something more serious? Should I be concerned, and what can I do to reduce the swelling?
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.
Swelling inside the lip after oral sex may result from friction, dryness, or irritation. Mild cases can improve with salt water rinses, hydration, and cold compresses. However, if swelling persists, worsens, or is accompanied by pain, sores, or difficulty swallowing, I recommend seeing an ENT doctor for a thorough evaluation.
Thanks
