Hello Doctor,
I’ve been feeling unwell lately and haven’t been able to sleep properly. My head has been moving on its own quite a lot, and I’m starting to feel like it’s affecting my heart. It seemed like a minor issue at first, but now it’s becoming more serious. I’m taking Metoprolol for blood pressure and Trazodone for sleep. Should I see an infectious disease doctor offline, or is there something I can do online to address this issue?
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.
1. Based on what you're describing, I’d recommend seeing your doctor for a full physical examination. The involuntary head movements and the impact on your heart could be signs of something that needs closer attention. It’s important to rule out any underlying conditions, especially since you’re already on medications like Metoprolol and Trazodone. Your doctor will be able to assess your situation and guide you on the next steps.
2. In the meantime, keep an eye on your symptoms and make sure you're taking your medications as prescribed. If the symptoms get worse or you feel worse overall, don’t hesitate to seek care right away.
Thanks
