Patient Question

Hello Doctor,

Is there a risk that my mother could contract HPV type 45 after wearing my pants shortly after I had them on, even though I had small warts (now removed) caused by this virus?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Dr.Galen. Please find the below response to your query.

Direct Contact: The risk of HPV transmission through indirect contact, such as sharing clothes, is generally low.

Removed Warts: Since your warts caused by HPV type 45 have been removed, the likelihood of transmitting the virus through your clothing is further reduced.

Thanks
