Patient Question

Hello Doctor,

I've been feeling heavy-headed since last night, along with nausea and a headache. Despite drinking plenty of water, the dehydration persists. I'm not on any medications and have no known health conditions.

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.

The heavy feeling in your head, along with nausea and headache, can be caused by various conditions. Here are some possible causes to consider:

Migraine or Tension Headache, Sinusitis, Dehydration and Electrolyte Imbalance, Low Blood Sugar, Anemia or Iron Deficiency, Viral or Bacterial Infections, Motion Sickness or Vertigo, Medication Side Effects,  Inner Ear Problems, Cardiovascular Issues, Neurological Conditions, Anxiety or Panic Attacks

To properly evaluate and diagnose your condition, it is important to consult a healthcare professional. They might order tests to determine the underlying cause of your symptoms and provide the appropriate treatment.

Here are some recommendations to help manage your symptoms:

Stay Hydrated, Rest, Avoid Strenuous Activities, Compress, Relaxation Techniques

If your symptoms worsen, or if you experience severe headaches, confusion, or difficulty speaking, it is crucial to seek immediate medical attention.

Thanks
