Patient Question

Hello Doctor,

I've noticed that despite my efforts, my weight has remained constant at 240 pounds for the past three months. Initially, I was consuming junk food seven times a day without any weight gain. However, I then switched to eating once a day and exercising daily, but my weight has neither increased nor decreased. I'm puzzled by this and wondering what might be happening.

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.

It's important to maintain a balanced diet for overall health. Instead of eating just once a day, consider spreading your meals throughout the day to keep your metabolism active. Start your day with a healthy breakfast around 10 AM, followed by a light lunch with rice and soup. For dinner, include fruits, nuts, grains, and raw legumes in your diet. Stay hydrated with plenty of liquids. This approach can help you maintain a healthy weight without extreme dieting.

Thanks
