Patient Question

Hello Doctor,

I recently noticed that my ankles are swollen but not painful. My doctor did a heart test and found that my heart is beating a little faster. I've been prescribed antinolol 25mg to take once a day for 30 days. However, I have doubts about continuing with antenolol.

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to me.

It could be due to various reasons! Swollen ankles can be related to heart issues or weak pumping veins. First, try wearing compression socks to see if it helps. However, I recommend seeing another cardiologist for a second opinion. You may need a diuretic medication to help with the swelling. Ankle swelling needs to be investigated thoroughly to determine the underlying cause.

Thanks
