Patient Question

Hello Doctor,

I'm experiencing sudden, sharp pain in the right side of my abdomen that comes and goes. The pain starts around my belly button and travels downward, and it tends to occur in the evening. I also frequently experience constipation and have to strain during bowel movements. Can you help me understand what might be causing these symptoms?

Hello,

Imaging: Ultrasound or CT scan of the abdomen.

Possible Diagnoses:

Appendicitis: Inflammation of the appendix causing right-sided abdominal pain.

Intestinal Issues: Torsion, partial blockage, or infections causing sharp pain and constipation.
