Patient Question

Hello Doctor,

I have been experiencing vaginal discharge for the past 10 days, which is white and yellow in color. Recently, I developed itching and a burning sensation in my vagina. Additionally, I now have burning during urination and find myself needing to urinate frequently. I’m 25 years old, a virgin, and single. What could be causing this?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the response to your query below.

It sounds like you may have a vaginal infection, possibly a yeast infection or bacterial vaginosis. It’s crucial to conduct a urine analysis and culture, along with a vaginal swab analysis, to determine the specific type of infection and to provide you with the necessary treatment. Please do not hesitate to seek medical attention as soon as possible to address your discomfort and ensure your health and well-being.

Thanks
