Patient Question

Hello Doctor,

I had my embryo transfer with LAH on 22nd June at 2:45 p.m. After the transfer, I had brown discharge for about 1-2 days. Currently, I’m experiencing white discharge and no other symptoms. Is it too early for me to take a pregnancy test? Also, on the 3rd and 4th days after the transfer, I had light cramping. Even now, I get light cramping when I sit down or get up from the toilet seat. What does this mean? Please help me understand what is happening.

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.

Brown discharge can be normal after an embryo transfer due to implantation, and white discharge is common as your body adjusts hormonally. Light cramping is also typical and can occur as your uterus responds to the procedure or medications. The cramping when sitting or standing may be from pressure on the pelvic area. I recommend waiting until the scheduled time to take a pregnancy test, as testing too early may give inaccurate results. If cramping becomes severe or other symptoms develop, please contact your doctor.

Thanks
