Hello Doctor,
I'm 29 years old, 6 feet 1 inch tall. In the past, I led a lifestyle that wasn't very healthy, but since August 2022, I've been actively working to change that. Currently, I weigh 74 kilograms. I follow an intermittent fasting routine of 16:8 almost regularly, focusing on consuming low sugar and low red meats while incorporating quality vegetables into my diet. Additionally, I engage in cardio and workout sessions 3-5 times a week. However, despite these positive changes, I believe my past unhealthy habits may have led to some sexual health issues. Specifically, I struggle to maintain an erection without constant touch. When I am touched, my erection is as strong as it should be, but without touch, I lose it within 10 seconds. My sexual health was problematic before, and it seems to persist despite my efforts to improve it.
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.
Your dedication to improving your lifestyle is commendable. It's great to hear that you've made significant changes, such as adopting a healthier diet and incorporating regular exercise into your routine. These lifestyle modifications can indeed have a positive impact on overall health, including sexual health.
However, it's important to acknowledge that past habits can sometimes have lingering effects on our health. While your efforts to improve your lifestyle are promising, it's possible that there are underlying issues contributing to your current sexual health concerns. I recommend consulting with a healthcare professional to discuss your specific symptoms and concerns in more detail.
A healthcare professional can provide a comprehensive evaluation and offer personalized recommendations for further evaluation and treatment, if necessary. This may involve additional tests or interventions to address any underlying issues that may be impacting your sexual health.
In the meantime, it's essential to continue with your current healthy habits. Consistency is key, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle can contribute to overall well-being, including sexual health.
Thanks
