Hello Doctor,
I'm experiencing pain in my left testicle, and I’ve noticed a small swelling at the top of it. It feels like it could be in the veins. Along with this, I’ve also been having some pain in my left leg. I'm not sure what’s causing it. What should I do?
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.
Pain in the left testicle with swelling and associated leg pain can be caused by several things. The most common possibilities include:
1. Varicocele – enlarged veins around the testicle, often on the left side, which may cause aching and swelling.
2. Epididymitis – inflammation due to infection, which can cause pain and swelling, and sometimes radiate discomfort to the leg.
3. Hydrocele – a fluid build-up around the testicle that can cause swelling.
4. Testicular torsion – a sudden, sharp pain with swelling that’s a medical emergency and needs urgent care.
Thanks
