Hello Doctor,
I had partial intercourse with my partner on December 4th. He did not ejaculate inside me, nor did he ejaculate after pulling out. It was just a few strokes, but we did not use a condom. My last period started on the night of November 25th (around 11:45 pm) and lasted for about five days. Since then, I’ve been experiencing high vaginal white discharge that is jelly-like in texture. Today (December 11th), I’m feeling slight cramps similar to period cramps in my legs and back, but my period isn't supposed to come until the 26th, so it's still barely a week away. I’m really scared that I might be pregnant. What should I do? What’s the likelihood of getting pregnant with these symptoms? Please help, I am 20 years old.
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.
Actually, there is no need to worry. Based on your history, your ovulation is expected to occur around these days, possibly today. The cramps you’re experiencing are likely due to ovulation, not pregnancy. Since the unprotected sex occurred before your ovulation window, there is no chance of pregnancy. However, it’s important to always practice safe sex and use a condom to protect yourself against sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
