Patient Question

Hello Doctor,

I've been feeling extremely tired and sleepy, and I've also been experiencing pain in my nipples. These symptoms started two days after my ovulation. Could I be pregnant?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.

1. Based on the symptoms you’ve described, it is unlikely that you are pregnant. Fatigue, sleepiness, and nipple pain can be common signs related to hormonal changes in your menstrual cycle, especially after ovulation.

2. These symptoms often occur due to the natural rise in progesterone, which prepares your body for a possible pregnancy.

3. However, if you miss your period or experience any other unusual symptoms, it may be a good idea to take a pregnancy test or consult with a healthcare provider to rule out pregnancy or other conditions.

Thanks
