Patient Question

Hello Doctor,

I am a 29-year-old female with a height of 5ft 2inches and weight between 75-78kgs. I had intercourse with a boy, but the condom slipped. I took EllaOne 30mg within one hour of intercourse. I am concerned about the possibility of pregnancy. My last period started on November 15th, and I have a 28-day cycle. The intercourse date was November 30th. Could you please advise if there is any risk of pregnancy in this situation?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.

There is a small risk of pregnancy, but it's important to wait and observe if your menstrual cycle is delayed. If your period does not come as expected, you can take a urine pregnancy test. If the result is unclear or if you continue to have concerns, it may be helpful to have a scan to confirm.

Thanks
