Patient Question

Hello Doctor,

I’m sexually active and my period was due on January 21st, but it still hasn’t come. My cycle is usually 28 days long, and I don’t have any of the typical symptoms of a period. I’ve had occasional abdominal cramps but no nausea. I’m feeling a little tired, though. Could I be pregnant?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.

I recommend taking a pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy. If the test is negative and your period is still delayed, it's best to wait for your menstrual cycle to start. If the delay continues, further evaluation might be needed.

Thanks
