Patient Question

Hello Doctor,

I had unprotected sex a couple of months ago, and since then, I have had two regular periods. Should I still be concerned about the possibility of pregnancy, or can I be reassured that I'm not pregnant?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.

Not exactly. If you've had two regular periods after the incident, the chances of pregnancy are low. However, if you're still feeling uncertain, it's always a good idea to take a blood pregnancy test to rule out the possibility of a cryptic pregnancy, where a pregnancy might not show up with a standard home test. If you have any concerns or symptoms, don't hesitate to consult with your healthcare provider for further guidance.

Thanks
