Patient Question

Hello Doctor,

I'm struggling with my weight and feeling really down about it. I think I weigh around 100 kg, and people, including those close to me, often make fun of me, which is really getting to me. I feel tired and just want to disappear. Unfortunately, I can't exercise where I am, so apart from that, can you help me find ways to control my food intake? It feels like I'm addicted to food, and I don't know what to do.

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.

Investigations: Check blood sugar levels, evaluate thyroid function with a TSH test, and perform ultrasounds to assess for PCOS.

Dietary Changes: For dinner, have only cucumber with lemon (no oil). Reduce sugar and salt intake in breakfast and lunch.

Physical Activity: Incorporate simple exercises or movements at home.

Behavioral Changes: Seek support to address emotional eating and food addiction.

Follow-Up: Regularly follow up with healthcare provider for monitoring and adjustments to the treatment plan.

Thanks
