Patient Question

Hello Doctor,

I’ve been getting daily headaches for a long time. My MRI and other tests came back normal, and doctors said it’s due to migraines. I take medicine every day, but is that really the only option? Isn’t there a better solution?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out Dr. Galen, Please find the below response to your query.

Migraines can be very frustrating, especially when they happen often. The good news is, there are several treatment options beyond daily medication. Doctors often start with medicine to reduce the frequency and severity, but they can also explore lifestyle changes, trigger management, physical therapy, or newer treatments like Botox or CGRP inhibitors. Sometimes even dietary changes or stress-reduction methods like biofeedback or acupuncture can help. Every case is different, so it’s worth discussing with a headache specialist to tailor the treatment to what works best for you.

Thanks
