Patient Question

Hello Doctor,

I have a small hard brown lump on my breast for a year. It's reduced but not gone. My gynecologist said it's a skin problem. What should I do?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.

As your doctor, I'd like to assure you that skin problems are very common and not usually a cause for concern. However, it's important to monitor any changes. Since you've noticed a reduction in size, this is generally a positive sign.

Nevertheless, to ensure your safety and well-being, I would recommend that you continue to observe the lump for any changes in size, shape, color, or symptoms such as pain or itching. If you notice any changes,I would recommend scheduling an appointment with a specialist for further evaluation.

Thanks
