Patient Question

Hello Doctor,

I have had a constant headache for the past few days, so can I take paracetamol for the headache?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.

As long as you do not have any allergies to paracetamol, you can try taking a maximum of 2 tablets every 6 hours, but not more than 8 tablets within a 24-hour period. I hope you get well soon. It is important to note that medications should only be taken if there is no history of allergies or contraindications with other drugs.

Thanks
