Hello Doctor,
For the past few weeks, I’ve been feeling constantly hungry, no matter how much I eat. Even after a full meal, I feel like I need to eat again within an hour or two. Along with this, I’ve been experiencing frequent lightheadedness and dizziness throughout the day. It happens even when I’m sitting or lying down, and it’s starting to interfere with my daily activities. I don’t have any major medical conditions that I’m aware of, but I do have a history of mild anemia. Could this be related to blood sugar issues, or is there something else I should be concerned about? What could be causing these symptoms, and what should I do next?
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.
1. Your symptoms of constant hunger, lightheadedness, and dizziness may be linked to metabolic issues such as diabetes, hypoglycemia, or other hormonal imbalances. These symptoms can also be associated with thyroid disorders, anemia, dehydration, or blood pressure fluctuations. Given the persistence of your symptoms, it is important to have a thorough evaluation.
2. I recommend scheduling an appointment with an endocrinologist or a metabolism specialist. They can conduct the necessary tests, including blood sugar levels, thyroid function tests, and other metabolic screenings, to determine the underlying cause and provide appropriate treatment. In the meantime, ensure that you are maintaining a balanced diet, staying hydrated, and monitoring your symptoms closely.
