Patient Question

Hello Doctor,

My right testicular tube is swollen and has been for a while. It doesn't hurt, but it's uncomfortable if I mess with it. Most of it is swollen to the same size except one area, that area has swollen to about the size of my testicle but there is still no pain. What should I do about this?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.

Swelling in the testicular area should be taken seriously. While the absence of pain is positive, it is essential to seek medical advice to rule out potential causes like testicular trauma, inguinal hernia, or testicular torsion. These conditions can affect the epididymis, groin, or spermatic cord, and a proper diagnosis is crucial. Even without pain, timely medical attention is recommended to ensure appropriate care.

Thanks
