Patient Question

Hello Doctor,

I have HPV and genital warts. Can I still safely kiss the person I am dating on the mouth? We aren't sexually intimate.

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.

HPV can be transmitted through skin-to-skin contact, but if you're receiving treatment and your genital warts are under control, kissing should generally be safe. However, it's always best to consult with your healthcare provider for personalized advice and to ensure you're taking the necessary precautions.

Thanks
