Patient Question

Hello Doctor,

I was talking to my OB/GYN and we found out that I’m in the very early stages of pregnancy. We decided to end it and he prescribed me Tyblume birth control, which should cause a miscarriage within the first 7 days. Is that truly possible with Tyblume?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.

This is incorrect. Tyblume is a contraceptive pill designed to prevent pregnancy with a high success rate. If you are already pregnant and considering an abortion, you will need to see a specialist who can confirm the pregnancy and then, based on the size, offer the most suitable option. There are side effects associated with Tyblume, so it should not be taken without proper consideration and medical guidance.

Thanks
