Patient Question

Hello Doctor,

I've been bleeding for over two weeks now, and I'm not sure what it means. It's not like my normal period—it started off light, then got heavier, and now it's just lingering. I don't have any severe pain, but I do feel more tired than usual. Should I be worried? What could be causing this?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.

Prolonged bleeding for over two weeks can be due to hormonal imbalance, fibroids, contraceptives (IUDs), miscarriage, or ectopic pregnancy. A hormone profile test and pelvic ultrasound are recommended. Consult a doctor for evaluation.

Thanks
