Patient Question

Hello Doctor,

About 5 weeks ago, I noticed a lump on my neck, as well as a swollen lymph node. I left it, thinking it would go away, which it did after about 3 to 4 weeks. However, two days ago, I woke up and they were both back, bigger than before. What should I do, and could it be serious?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Dr.Galen. Please find the below response to your query.

Lymph node enlargement may be due to infection or inflammation; however, it could also be a sign of problems in the blood or tumor metastasis. Kindly consult with a primary care doctor, either personally or through telemedicine services, for further evaluation and treatment.

Thanks
