High blood pressure can lead to the constriction or narrowing of blood vessels, it can damage and weaken your arteries by making them less elastic, which decreases the flow of blood and oxygen to other organs including the heart. This condition hampers adequate blood flow to vital organs such as the kidneys, liver, brain, heart, eyes, and others. When organs do not receive sufficient blood flow, their proper function and efficiency are compromised.
