Patient Question

Hello Doctor,

Could the persistent tinnitus in my left ear, accompanied by dizziness, fatigue, headaches, heavy head sensation, and ear pressure for the past month, despite ruling out allergies, wax or liquid buildup, and having normal blood pressure, suggest any underlying cause?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Dr.Galen. Please find the below response to your query.

Inner Ear Disorders:

Conditions like Meniere's disease or vestibular neuritis can cause tinnitus, dizziness, and ear pressure.

Inner ear issues can also lead to headaches and a heavy head sensation.

Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Dysfunction:

TMJ disorders can cause ear pressure, tinnitus, and headaches, especially if there's associated muscle tension in the jaw and neck.

Symptoms may worsen during periods of stress or clenching/grinding teeth.

Cervicogenic Headaches:

Neck tension or cervical spine issues can trigger headaches that radiate to the head and ears.

This tension can also contribute to feelings of heaviness in the head.

We need to have a hearing test, this might add some value to get the diagnosis.

Thanks
