Hello Doctor,
I have a painless lump on my neck, located just behind my right ear along the hairline, which has been there for 10 days. Below this lump, there are two or three smaller lumps on my neck. I recently took Velosef and Chymoral Forte for 5 days, but there has been no improvement. Now, I am experiencing pain on the right side of my face, including my ear, cheek, and teeth, as well as a sore throat and a sore spot inside my right lip. The doctor has asked me to do ESR, CP, and CRP tests and mentioned the possibility of TB because my younger brother had TB in 2009 when he was 8 months old. Could this be related? What should I do next?
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.
Given your symptoms, it’s important that you are examined by an ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) specialist to rule out common sources of infection in the neck. The doctor may also recommend a neck ultrasound and a complete blood count (CBC) to help further assess your condition and provide a more accurate diagnosis. These tests will give a clearer picture of what’s happening and help determine the most appropriate treatment. Make sure to follow up with your doctor for a comprehensive evaluation.
Thanks
