Patient Question

Hello Doctor,

I have been diagnosed with fatty liver grade 2 and have been taking Udiliv for it. My recent test results show SGPT 112, SGOT 45, and glucose 106. For the past four days, I have been mostly on bed rest as I feel there is inflammation or discomfort in my right liver lobe. Should I be concerned, and what should I do next?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.

1. Based on your condition of fatty liver grade 2 with elevated SGPT and SGOT levels, I recommend starting Lipaglyn (Saroglitazar) 4 mg once daily for 15 days, along with continuing Udiliv as prescribed. Additionally, maintaining daily physical activity is crucial—light exercises such as walking can help improve liver function.

2. It’s important to avoid fatty, fried, and processed foods, as they can worsen liver inflammation. Focus on a healthy diet rich in fiber, lean proteins, and plenty of water. Monitor your symptoms, and if the discomfort in your liver persists or worsens, consider follow-up tests, including a liver ultrasound and further blood work.

Thanks
