Patient Question

Hello Doctor,

I have a breast lump, and it hurts. It's hard and partially in my nipple area. My nipple became flat. I'm 13 and weigh about 104 lbs. What should I do?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.

It’s important to have the lump examined by a doctor. You may need a breast ultrasound or MRI to identify the type of lump. Painful lumps can sometimes be caused by benign conditions like fibroadenosis, which is often linked to hormonal changes around your menstrual cycle. Regardless, it’s essential to consult a surgeon for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment.

Thanks
