Hello Doctor,
I had a situation back in April where I was fingered, and there was barely any precum on the fingers. Just to be safe, I took Plan B two days later. I got my period the next month on May 16. Now it's June, and I'm feeling pregnancy-like symptoms—abdominal discomfort, cramps, frequent urination, constipation, and bloating. I don’t understand why I’m feeling this way. I haven’t been eating the healthiest lately and have been having a lot of junk food, so I’m wondering if that could be the cause. But if I already got my period last month, doesn’t that mean I’m not pregnant?
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.
Based on your symptoms, it would be best to take a pregnancy test to rule out any pregnancy-related concerns, such as an ectopic pregnancy, molar pregnancy, or miscarriage. Even though you had your period last month, some cases of pregnancy can present with bleeding that may be mistaken for a period. To get a clearer picture, an abdominal and transvaginal ultrasound would be necessary to confirm the diagnosis. I strongly recommend visiting a specialist for further evaluation and appropriate treatment based on the findings. Additionally, factors like diet, stress, and hormonal changes could also contribute to your symptoms, so a thorough medical assessment is essential.
Thanks
