Patient Question

Hello Doctor,

I've been using a face wash product that I bought online three months ago. Initially, it gave me clear and glowing skin, but over time, I started experiencing acne and pimples. Recently, I've been facing a health issue related to body heat, which I suspect might be contributing to my facial pimples. I'm unsure if it's the product's ingredients or my health issue causing this, so I've attached an image of the face wash product for your consideration. Can you please advise me on this matter?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.

I appreciate you sharing them with me. Acne and pimples can indeed be triggered by various factors, including skincare products, hormonal changes, diet, stress, and underlying health issues.

The Hello Clear Skin Facial Wash you've been using is typically designed to promote clear skin. However, individual skin types and health conditions can react differently to products. Some ingredients in facial washes may lead to breakouts in certain individuals.

Given your description, if your acne and pimples appeared after using the product and have worsened, it's possible that one or more ingredients in the product are causing this reaction. Additionally, your recent health issue related to body heat could exacerbate skin conditions like acne.

To accurately determine the cause, it's crucial to conduct a thorough assessment. I highly recommend scheduling an appointment with us at your earliest convenience. If feasible, please bring the facial wash product or a photo of its ingredient list to the appointment for further evaluation.

In the meantime, considering discontinuing the use of the product temporarily to observe if your skin condition improves. Remember to maintain proper skincare practices, including keeping your skin clean and hydrated. Adequate hydration, along with a balanced diet, can help regulate your body's heat and promote skin health.

Thanks
