Hello Doctor,
I’m a 27-year-old male, and about 4 years ago, I started to notice weakness in my genital area. Over time, my erections have gradually become weaker, and now I either have no erection or very weak ones. I also noticed that the amount of semen is very low, and it looks yellowish. Because of this, I haven’t had any sexual relationship for the past 4 years. Before all this started, everything was completely normal. What could be causing these symptoms, and what can I do about it?
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out Dr. Galen, Please find the below response to your query.
1. Your symptoms suggest erectile dysfunction (ED), which can result from physical, psychological, or lifestyle factors. Physical causes include poor blood flow, hormonal imbalances, nerve issues, or side effects from medications. Psychological factors like stress, anxiety, or depression can also play a major role. Lifestyle habits such as diet, exercise, and substance use impact sexual health too.
2. I recommend seeing a healthcare professional for a full evaluation, which may involve reviewing your medical history, a physical exam, and blood tests to check hormone levels and other factors. Treatment options include lifestyle changes, medications like sildenafil (Viagra), or therapy if stress or anxiety are involved. Early medical advice is important to find the right solution for you.
