Patient Question

Hello Doctor,

I've been dealing with severe stomach pain and continuous vomiting of green liquid for a month now. I'm unable to eat or drink anything, not even mint tea. This issue has persisted for a month since returning from a recent vacation and the situation is worsening. What steps can I take to address this?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Dr. Galen. Please find the below response to your query.

1. Given your recent travel history, it's possible you have an E. coli infection.

2. I recommend undergoing a liver function test (LFT) and a whole abdomen ultrasound (USG).

In the meantime, start taking the following medications:

Tab Metrogyl 400mg three times a day (TDS)

Tab dicyclomine twice a day (BD)

Tab rifaximin 200 twice a day (BD)

Tab Pantop 40 twice a day (BD)

Thanks
